John 6:1-24

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john%206:1-24&version=TNIV Here are two of Jesus’ most famous miracles - the feeding of the five thousand and Jesus’ walk across the water. In these two miracles, we have God showing us that 1) He will provde for us and 2) He loves us enough to come to us. Lucky for us, He is not going to wait until we decide to come to Him. The people are drawn to Jesus. They know that there is something special about him but they can’t quite figure out what it is. Some think he is a prophet, others think he is the one that God has sent to restore Israel to greatness. The people are unable to see what is right in front of their eyes - that God has come to earth to be with them and save them. What would you do if you saw a man walk on water or feed 5,000 people with a meal meant for one or two people? Who would you think he was? Would you believe that he was God? Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see your glory and action in the world today. Help us to see with fresh eyes what you are doing around us. Help us to believe. Amen CS
