Salvation is Here

I have lived most of my life in at least some state of anxiety. Even as early as the first and second grade, I remember having what I now recognize as anxiety attacks. This is very difficult, not only for myself, but also for my family because it makes me edgy and short-tempered. It is something that is a daily struggle for me to try to turn over to God.

Joel Houston has written a song titled, “Salvation is here”. I love this song and have listened to it on my ipod a lot, lately. The first line states “God above all the world in motion. God above all my hopes and fears. I don’t care what the world throws at me now I’m going to be alright…because I know my God saved the day and I know His Word never fails and I know my God made a way for me. Salvation is here.”

I don’t know if these lyrics touch you, but they go straight to the core of my being and soothe my fears. They remind me that I am not in control, God is and He will take care of me.

In Jeremiah 29:11, God states that He knows the plans He has for us – plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.

For me, at least in this moment, is enough. I hope for you, it is also.
